RESEARCH INTEREST

Advances in electrochemical energy storage system have the potential to revolutionize every aspect of society from transportation to power grid. We seek to explore advanced battery technologies beyond Li-ion for large-scale energy storage devices such as electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESSs). Through rational design of electrode materials, electrolytes, and its interfacial properties, we aim to develop and improve next generation battery systems such as Li metal, lithium-sulfur, and all-solid-state batteries. We utilize a suite of electroanalytical and spectroscopic techniques to establish structure-property relationships that govern battery performance.

We are looking for highly motivated graduate and undergraduate students to join our team!
